The Gator comes in two models—the 4X2 (two-wheel drive/10 horsepower) and the 6X4 (four-wheel drive and18 horsepower). Both have 8½-inch-high ground clearance and foot-controlled throttle and brakes that can be easily converted to hand control operation, if necessary. A grab bar next to the operator's seat provides a hand grip and some stability, but could present a barrier to transferring from a wheelchair. Neither model has seat- belts or roll-over protection structure, but these safety items are available from other vendors.
