Power-Assist Hand Control

The Power-Assist Hand Control unit is also an electronic microprocessor-controlled hydraulic system that lessens the effort required to operate the brake and throttle of a motorized vehicle. The driver controls the vehicle by pulling the mechanism backward to accelerate and pushing it forward to apply the brakes. Accelerator and brake operation can be reversed if determined necessary by an authorized vehicle evaluator. The unit does not inhibit the vehicle's use by non-disabled drivers.
