Shop Hoist
Adult male in a wheelchair pulls the handle attached to a cord that activates the power cable winch, which is rides along the shop elevated roller track.

With assistance from Illinois AgrAbility staffers, Jonesboro, IL, farmer Lynn Burchyett fabricated a Shop Hoist, which is simply an electrically powered cable winch fastened on a set of rollers that glide on a section of barn door track mounted above the workbench. Vertical motion (i.e., lifting from ground level to workbench) is accomplished by engaging the winch, while horizontal motion is accomplished by manually rolling the winch along the barn track.
