One-Handed Truck Hood Opener
The pickup truck hood fully raised by the two gas-spring cylinders, one on the left side and one on the right.

Milford, NE, farmer Jon Stauffer made a One-Handed Truck Hood Opener by fastening two 80-pound gas-spring cylinders under the hood of his pickup truck to help lift and hold the hood open. Stauffer merely pulls the hood-release cable in the cab, pulls the lever that releases the hood from the latch, then, with the aid of the cylinders, pushes the hood up with one hand.
