Morse Mobile-Karrier
Man using the Morse Mobile-Karrier to lift a fifty-five gallon drum

The Morse Mobile-Karrier allows one person to raise, transport, tilt, and drain fully loaded drums weighing up to 800 pounds. The carrier base is a "U"-shaped frame with two posts 3 feet high and rides on three wheels. Bolted between the tops of the posts is an approximately 33 inch-long lifting lever that extends toward the back of the "U" to reduce the amount of strength needed to lift the drum. Arms hang down from the lever on both sides of the "U" and fasten to a gripping cuff with a latching tilt-linkage that allows one to easily tilt the drum and lock it at the desired height. To load, lift, and tilt the drum, the frame is rolled to where the drum is inside the "U" and in contact with the gripping cuff. A chain is then wrapped around the drum and tightened with a rachet to secure it in the cuff. The lifting lever is pulled down to raise and lock the drum in place 5 to 11 inches off the ground. Once raised, the drum can be easily tilted and locked at any angle for pouring.
