Fish Spear
Welded to the shaft of an ice chipper is a hardware nut that’s large enough to accommodate a prosthetic hook.

Verndale, MN, farmer Alan Werk has modified many tools for use with his prosthetic hands. However, not all the tools are for work, such as the Ice Chipper and the Fish Spear that he uses for ice fishing. Both have been adapted by welding large nuts onto the handles in the appropriate locations, through which Werk slips his prosthetic hooks for a firm, natural grip.
