Single-Strand Fence Roller
Ink drawing of the tractor rear-mounted posthole digger with auger-replaced pipe slipped over the smaller anchoring pipe and a barbed-wire strand being re-wound between to the disks.

Individuals with mobility impairments, strength limitations, amputations, and other disabilities may find it difficult to manually wind long sections of wire. With slight modification, a three-point-mounted posthole digger can also serve as a Single-Strand Fence Roller. Replacing the auger is a length of pipe with two disks welded toward the center (as shown). The bottom end slips over a smaller pipe driven into the ground to keep it perpendicular as it rotates. The operator must remain in the tractor seat, and bystanders must stand a safe distance away to prevent entanglement with the PTO, winding spool, or moving wire.
