Homemade PTO Shaft Lift Jack
2 pics of scissors-type automotive jack welded or bolted to tongue of equipment with half-moon metal piece on top of jack so that when raised it will lift PTO shaft to match and can then be lowered out of the way for operation.

This Homemade PTO Shaft Lift Jack allows one with an arm and/or back impairment to align and hitch the shaft without having to lift it. The device is simply a standard scissors-type automotive jack with a half-moon-shaped metal cradle affixed (welded or bolted) to the top. When hitching, the jack is raised to lift the shaft into position; once the PTO is attached, it's then is lowered so as not interfere during equipment operation.
