Buried Water Line to Barn
Left pic of narrow trench along outside of barn wall. Rt pic of vertical pipe coming out of ground with faucet on it attached to hose.

A Buried Water Line to Barn eliminates having to lug heavy pails of water over an icy path or uneven terrain, or to drag a hose through the snow, or to worry about the hose being frozen in order to fill the stock tank, wash down the floor, or any of the other tasks for which running water is needed. Check with local building codes to determine approved water line materials and depth to bury the water line to prevent freezing. Renting a backhoe or powered trencher may be well-worth the cost when considering the amount of time and labor needed to dig a trench deep enough to avoid frost.
