Homemade Large-Tire Handling Cart
Large dual tractor tires sitting on a red heavy horizontal metal frame with a castor wheel on each of 4 corners. 2 uprights on one end of frame have yellow arms at top that keep tires from rolling off frame

With his Homemade Large-Tire Handling Cart, shop foreman Cleason Hoover can reportedly quickly and safely change/repair today's mega-size tractor, combine, and truck tires. It is designed to allow one person to raise, secure, and reposition single - even dual - wheels. Hoover's cart consists of a 6-inch-square steel tubing main frame that rides on four caster wheels, 2- x 6-inch steel uprights with bars against which the tires rest, left- and right-side rollers so the tires can be rotated, a foot-pumped hydraulic lifting system, and ratcheting safety straps to hold them in place. Hoover can provide CAD drawings of his cart, but is willing to custom-build if one so desires.
