Omeo Two-Wheeled Powered Wheelchair
Person sitting on OMEO wheelchair next to a horse in a wire-fence enclosure

The self-balancing Omeo Omeo Two-Wheeled Powered Wheelchair is propelled forward/backward by simply shifting one's body weight and is turned left/right via armrest joystick. The Omeo is controlled similar to a Segwayâ„¢ and, thus, will likely take practice to learn the forward/reverse motion. Having low-pressure, off-road tires, it will reportedly traverse over most terrain (e.g., beach, trail, gravel road, open field, snow, mud). Powered by lithium-ion battery motors (reportedly up to 30 miles before recharge), the manufacturer claims it can attain speeds exceeding 12 mph. Standard features include: dual-battery backup and braking systems, battery-level alert, zero-degree turning radius, and a narrow width that fits through many standard doors.
