One-Handed Cordless Mini Chainsaw
White hand and wrist holding a green & black KIMO one-handed cordless chainsaw with 20-volt battery on bottom

The One-Handed Cordless Mini Chainsaw is designed primarily for trimming trees (3-inch-diameter max) instead of using a two-handed lopper. Compared to a standard chainsaw, this one is lighter (3 to 6 pounds), is battery-powered (18- to 24-volt lithium ion), and has a short bar and chain (only 4 to 8 inches long). All makes/models include a safety-lock switch or button to prevent accidental start; most have a variable-speed trigger; and some come with a safety shield over the chair-bar or protective baffle between chain-bar and user.
