A Portable Protective Welding Screen can be set up almost anywhere to provide a barrier between where a welding task is to be performed and the surrounding area. It serves to protect from the hazards of arc flash, spatter, or sparks. The screen (generally made of flame-retardant vinyl-laminated polyester) is usually secured to a 1-inch-diameter steel frame that has 2-feet-long platform legs at the bottom to form a divider-type panel, which can be free-standing or hinged with other panels to form a completely enclosed welding area.
