Spring-Loaded Gate
Seen is an adult male on an ATV pulling a rope hanging from the gate’s level arm, which causes the gate to swing back to close position.

The Spring-Loaded Gate that Burdick, KS, farmer Don Peterson designed is also pushed open by the vehicle as it is driven through. The gate spring is arranged in an over-center fashion so the gate locks open after being pushed open, where Peterson leaves it until ready to exit the pasture. To close the gate, he pulls a rope hanging from a lever arm, which releases it and allows the spring to pull it shut.
