The Quick-Release Hitch Pin (called Quick-Pin) is designed to solve the problem of trying to unhook a hitch pin when it's pinched by the pressure on it. Invented and marketed by Mayetta, KS, farmer Blake Chase, the Quick Pin consists of two main parts-a top handle held by a locking clip and a straight hitch pin with holes through it near the top and bottom. The handle comes off the hitch pin when the clip is removed; so when the operator gets back on the tractor to release the pressure on the pin, it falls through the hitch. Three different diameter sizes are available-3/4-, 7/8-, and 1 1/8-inch.
