A commercially available Air-Powered Post Driver, used to drive steel "T" posts, is hand-held and weighs only about 26 pounds. An inner sleeve clamps to the top of the post, then air pressure lifts a hammer device off the sleeve and drives it down at the rate of 80-85 strokes per minute. An air compressor with air flow of at least 4 cubic feet per minute at 70-90 pounds per square inch is required to power the driver.
