Kindling Cracker Firewood Splitter
Kindling Cracker Firewood Splitter

The cast iron Kindling Cracker Firewood Splitter, which has neither moving parts nor sharp projections to cause injury, is designed to provide a safe, quick way to make kindling. To split a piece of wood, one places it on the chisel-like blade inside of the frame (which is normally screwed onto a stump or other level surface) and strikes the wood with a maul/hammer. Splitting reportedly requires less force than an axe or hatchet. (Two models are available.)

Caution symbol Caution Notes: Tasks like tree felling, brush clearing, log splitting, and wood cutting are dangerous, and utmost caution should be used to protect the operator and bystanders.
