Dairy Parlor Chair Track
An adult male handles milking equipment while sitting in a swivel chair that’s attached to the roller track which has been mounted on dairy parlor pit wall.

Although the Dairy Parlor Chair Track was built as a prototype but never commercially developed, the concept could be used by those with limited mobility who desire to do the milking. A horizontal roller track was mounted to the parlor pit wall so it could support a carriage assembly; and an arm with a chair on one end and roller assembly on the other was fabricated to travel along the horizontal track. When the dairyman sits on the chair, he is at the ideal position to work with the cows and can use the parlor pipes to pull himself from cow to cow. This concept could be further modified to include a lifting mechanism that raises and lowers the chair from ground to milking height.
