Fiskars Geared Hand Snips
Fiskars Geared Hand Snips

The Fiskars Geared Hand Snips reportedly provides 40% more power for cutting a range of heavy-duty materials (e.g., sheet metal, ductwork materials, drywall corners, metal studs, siding, soffit, fascia, drip edge, gutters) than do standard snips. Due to its gear technology, optimized handle span, and short (1-inch) cut length, this tool can reportedly cut through 16-gauge cold-rolled and 20-gauge stainless steel. Other features include: automatically opening ergonomic handle with Softgrip texturing; lockable, heat-treated forged-steel blades with slip-preventing micro-serrated edges; and pinned and glued grips to prevent rotation and separation. (Left-, right-, and straight-cut models available.)
