Loader-Mounted Cow Catcher
Square Metal frame moved with a loader to contain a cow

To round up cattle in the pasture for health monitoring, Wanham, Alberta, rancher Duane Reum constructed a Loader-Mounted Cow Catcher. It's a 6-foot by 12-foot steel pen (with locking head gate at one end) that fastens to his tractor loader bucket. To capture and restrain the animals, He lifts and transports the loader-mounted pen to the cattle, and lowers it over the selected ones. Reum also uses the device to herd his cattle to other locations by slowly driving the tractor forward with the animals in the lowered pen.
