Bag-A-Nut Harvester
Bag-A-Nut Harvester

The Bag-A-Nut Harvester is a manually pushed or garden tractor-pulled 'sweeper' used to pick up large quantities of almost any kind of nuts that have fallen off the trees. As the tool rolls over the ground, a rubber-fingered brush picks up the nuts then releases them into the attached hopper basket. When the hopper is full, one yanks a cord to empty it (Flip-Up model) or manually removes it (Pick-Up and Tag-A-Long models). The manufacturer claims that it requires little effort to push/pull; is very maneuverable, allowing for harvesting around tight corners and irregular terrain; and is not jammed by leaves, twigs, and other debris. Four different-sized models are available.
