Gorilla-Lift Tailgate Lift Assist
Gorilla-Lift Tailgate Lift Assist

Designed primarily for use with an open utility trailer, the Gorilla-Lift Tailgate Lift Assist reportedly takes almost all the weight off the trailer's tailgate, enabling one to raise/lower it with less effort. Properly adjusted, the lift (one attached to each of the two side rails) is designed to allow the gate to 'float' up and down and stay in any position in between. It also is designed to prevent the tailgate from warping and the hinges from deteriorating as a result of uneven stress and minimizes the chances of finger or hand injury because the lifting system is fully enclosed inside a housing. The product works best on trailers with side rails 10- to 24-inch-high and tailgates 4- to 6-feet tall (but can be adapted to others type and size trailers). All attaching hardware is supplied.
