Homemade Friction Ramp
Homemade Friction Ramp

To provide better traction, wheelchair user Garland Leonard, of Weatherford, OK, covered the plywood ramp at his front door with used hay baler belts. They were laid, rough side up, down the ramp and secured with wood screws. Leonard also extended them a foot or so beyond the bottom edge so he could have an easier start up the ramp.
