The Mini Raised-Bed Plastic Mulch Layer (Model 2400) is designed primarily for small acreage or high-tunnel greenhouse vegetable or ground-fruit operations. Requiring a compact (40 hp min.) four-wheel-drive tractor having a category I or II three-point hitch, the machine is designed to lay 48-inch-wide plastic mulch with 58-inch row spacing on a 3- to 5-inch-high bed. The Model 2400 has an adjustable tension brake on its plastic roll carriers, replaceable/reversible plow share, 3/8- x 1/2-inch UHMW poly-lined bed press, and a 50-gallon-capacity water tank to add weight for a firmer-pressed bed.
