This Long-Handled Soil-Replacing Bulb Planter allows one to stand upright and exert only 'foot power' to make the holes to plant--and cover--flower bulbs, grass plugs, seedlings, etc. Pushing down on the tool's footplate captures in the planter's shaft the soil core, leaving a 3-inch-diameter hole up to 6 inches deep. After placing the bulb by hand, the soil is then released from the shaft back into the hole by depressing the tool's plunger.
