Lamb/Kid Carrying Cradle
Lamb/Kid Carrying Cradle

Made of either plastic or polyester mesh, the Lamb/Kid Carrying Cradle is basically a two-handled sling designed for transporting and/or weighing the animal safely. The device is placed under the animal's chest and fore-torso, its legs dangling downward and its navel protruding through a cutout area to prevent rupture. Most makes/models feature a Velcro-adjustable chest support strap to accommodate various-size animals. A key advantage of the cradle is that the mother can see, hear, and smell her offspring.
