ICEtrekkers Shoe Traction System
ICEtrekkers Shoe Traction System

The ICEtrekkers Shoe Traction System involves an assemblage of case-hardened-steel diamond beads strung on steel aircraft cables riveted to rubber slings, which slip over shoes or boots to provide traction when walking on snow or ice and when transitioning from icy surfaces to gravel, rock, or mud. The beads have hundreds of biting edges that grip in all directions and are designed to be self-cleaning, with no snow or ice build-up. The slings reportedly remain elastic even in sub-zero temperatures. When not being used, they stow in pocket, purse, glove compartment, etc.
