Automated Milking System
Automated Milking System

As the name implies, an Automated Milking System for dairy operations almost completely automates the milking process, relying on the use of computers with special herd management software, rather than human labor. Central to most automated (also called voluntary or robotic) milking systems is a software-driven, remote controlled hydraulic milking robot arm. DeLaval's unit includes feed station, built-in control touch screen, hydraulic pump, overload-protected power box, cleaning unit, PC with flat-screen monitor, Linux- and Windows-environment software, eat-first/feed-first cow traffic programs, LAN or wireless connections, fail-safe signal or voice alarm, and many customizing options.
