With either of the two Lift-Mates Box Lifting Tools, one can reportedly lift and carry cartons with less chance of back injury. The Solo-Lift Pro, which requires only one hand, grips a box from the top then carries it at one's side, leaving the other hand free to open doors, hold handrails, etc. The Dual-Lift Pro, designed for two-handed lifting/carrying of heavier cartons, allows one to keep shoulders levels and back straight, with the legs doing the lifting. Both tools feature a series of small pins that grips and holds (without penetrating) the carton’s corrugated surface. They both come with attached pin pads and carrying holsters.
