Armatic Three-Point Quick-Hitch System
Armatic Three-Point Quick-Hitch System

The Armatic Three-Point Quick-Hitch System (no longer produced) automatically coupled both the PTO shaft and the remote hydraulic ports. It consisted of (a) a base mounted to the tractor's three-point hitch arms, (b) a receiver pinned to the implement's hitching points, (c) a shortened PTO shaft that extends from the tractor to the middle of the base frame, and (d) second shortened PTO shaft that runs from the implement to the center of the receiver frame. As the tractor backed up and the base met the receiver, the two PTO shafts coupled together and the base pins snapped into the receiver to complete the hitching. The hydraulic ports coupled in a similar fashion to the PTO shaft.
