Hitch Spotter and Portable Tongue Stand
Hitch Spotter and Portable Tongue Stand

The Patington Hitch Spotter and Portable Tongue Stand facilitate hitching an implement or trailer to a tractor or pickup truck without assistance. The Spotter is a 6 by 16 inch removable mirror on a telescoping aluminum tube with a magnetic base. To hitch, (1) lay the implement or trailer tongue on the Stand at proper hitching height; (2) place the Spotter on the tongue and adjust the mirror so about 6 inches of tongue shows in the tow vehicle's rear-view mirror; (3) looking through the rear-view mirror, back up until the vehicle's hitch appears in the Spotter mirror; then (4) continue backing up slowly, making adjustments until the hitch and receiver are lined up.
