Manual Game-Carcass Processing Hoist
Left pic of a buck hanging from a free-standing metal tripod. Rt pic of metal upright pole fastened to hitch of black pickup truck with right-angle arm holding lift hooks.

With a Manual Game-Carcass Processing Hoist (whether stand-alone tripod type or hitch-mounted type), one can dress the animal on site without lifting by hand or having to haul it back home or to a processing facility. The hoist lifts via a hand-cranked winch-and-pulley system that can reportedly lift up to 300-500 pounds (depending on make/model) and includes a gambrel that keeps the carcass stable during processing. For the tripod models, the hand crank is affixed to one of the tripod legs and a tool-holding tray to another.

Estimated Cost Cost range: $150-$270
