For garden or small-plot commercial vegetable production, the Easy-Water Drip Irrigation System lets water, nutrients, and air get through to the plants but suppresses weed growth. Components of the system include soaker hose, hose couplings, hose/fabric-securing staples, and ground-cover fabric. Setting up the system consists of: placing the soaker hose, properly spaced, on the growing bed and securing it with the hose/fabric staples; laying the ground-cover fabric over hose and bed, also securing it with the staples; and measuring and marking appropriate between-row distances than making slits in the fabric, which is pre-marked every 12 inches for proper plant alignment.
