Self Fusing Silicone X-Treme Tape has the following characteristics: (1) bonds only to itself to create an air- and liquid-tight seal; (2) requires no adhesive, thus leaves no residue when removed; (3) stretches up to three times its length, thus conforming to irregular shapes; (4) insulates up to 8,000 volts; and (5) withstands extreme heat (up to 500° F) and cold (flexible to -60°F). Among its many applications are these: a) improving hand-tool and handle grips, b) emergency vehicle engine and exhaust system repairs, c) sealing leaky pipes/hoses/fittings/air ducts, d) short-term electrical repairs, e) and weatherproofing connections.
