PitStop Pro Tendering System

An attachment to John Deere nutrient applicators, the PitStop Pro Tendering System lets growers quickly change anhydrous ammonia tanks without having to leave the tractor cab. With a push of the ‘decouple’ and ‘unhitch’ buttons, the system disconnects the hoses and unhooks the empty tank. Next, the operator (1) lines the applicator up with the hitch on the fresh tank; (2) backs the applicator in to trip the hitch pin, hooking up the tank; then (3) presses the ‘couple’ button, which automatically re-engages the hoses. For an operator with full mobility, this can cut a 10-minute task down to about 2 minutes; for one with limited mobility, it can eliminate the need for an assistant or for dismounting/re-mounting the tractor.
