FreeWheel Wheelchair Attachment

The portable FreeWheel Wheelchair Attachment is a third-wheel assembly that clamps to the footrest of a rigid-frame manual wheelchair. When attached, it lifts up the front casters, essentially converting the chair into a three-wheeler, which allows the user to navigate over surfaces typically not possible otherwise. The product comes with 1) hardware for custom-fitting it to almost any chair; 2) a ‘detent,’ which keeps the wheel straight until slight pressure releases it to turn in any direction; and 3) a ‘perch,’ which stores it behind the seat back when not needed.
