The purpose of Magnetic Pick-Up Tool: Telescoping is to pick up metal objects, such as nuts, bolts, nails, screws, washers, wire, even hand tools from otherwise hard-to-reach places. Most models are lightweight, are between 6 to 12 inches long but then telescoping out some 14 to as much as 48 inches, and have from a 11/2- to 16-pound pull (lifting) capacity. Many have a cushioned handle to keep the tool secure with wet or oily hands, a pocket clip for ready accessibility, and an LED light at the tip with the magnet.
