Fence-Wire Tightener

This homemade fence tightening “key” consists of three equal lengths of 1/2-inch threaded pipe screwed into a T pipe-joint to form two handles and a stem, which has a slot cut in the bottom. The slot slips over the loose fence strand and the “key” is turned to make the strand taut. (Each quarter turn takes up about 1 inch of slack.)
