Bale Thrower Attachment
A Bale Thrower Attachment (also called a Kicker or Ejector) on a small square hay baler throws bales through the air and into a trailing wagon. Workers who have difficulty lifting, carrying, or stacking bales of hay can use this device to gather bales from the field and haul them to the storage facility. The hydraulic-powered device reportedly tosses bales 38 inches long and weighing 65-70 pounds. Bale Thrower Attachments are designed for use with specific makes/models of small-square balers. Most versions of this time- and labor-reducing attachment also have mechanisms that allow for adjustment of both distance (via belt-speed or kick-power) and direction.
Cost: $8,000.00
Impairment Category: Back, Lower extremity, Strength/endurance, Upper extremity
Caution: Workers should stay clear of both Bale Thrower and bale landing zone during operation.
