Trailing Small-Bale Accumulator
A Trailing Small-Bale Accumulator hitches behind a conventional baler in alignment with the bale chambers. On exiting the chamber, the bales drop onto the accumulator and are maneuvered into side-by-side rows via either hydraulics or gravity (depending on make/model). When the accumulator’s bale capacity is reached, bales are automatically deposited as a tight clump onto the ground for pickup and transport by a tractor or skid steer bale grabber. Again, depending on make/model, accumulators will hold from 8 to 18 bales and can be customized to accommodate different size bales.
Cost: $10,000-$15,000 (depending primarily on bale holding capacity)
Impairment Category: Back, Lower extremity, Strength/endurance, Upper extremity
