Latching Relay Solenoid

Butterfield, MN, grain farmer Dale Baerg operates his tractor’s clutch and brakes with a Latching Relay Solenoid. At the flip of a rocker switch, the clutch depresses until he has shifted gears and flips the switch back. (A light on the instrument panel indicates when the clutch is fully engaged.) The brakes are controlled by a linear actuator wired into another rocker switch.
