One-Hand Staple Driver
Starting and driving staples into fence posts with one hand is made possible with this One-Hand Staple Driver, designed by Iowa FaRM Program’s Byron Hemingson. It’s an 18-inch-long steel rod with a sliding hammer on it. A notched, magnetic, staple-holding head is at one end, with a pad from an under-arm crutch on the other end. To drive a staple, the user (a) secures it in the staple-holding head; (b) pushes the head against a post; then (c) leans against the padded end of the rod while forcefully sliding the hammer against the holding head.
