Hand-Held Angle Grinder
The Hand-Held Angle Grinder (also known as a side or disc grinder) is primarily a metalworking tool used for grinding down and cutting; but with interchangeable discs, it can also be used for polishing and sanding. Available as corded or lithium-ion battery cordless models, the tool’s motor drives a geared head at a right-angle on which is mounted a disc. Most models have an adjustable guard around the disc and a side-handle that allows for two-handed operation. The tool generally weighs from 5 to 6 pounds, and disc size is 41/2 to 5 inches in diameter.
