Nylon Rope Prosthetic Cable
Norfolk, NE, farmer Bob McDaniel found that a Nylon Rope Prosthetic Cable (rather than steel) eliminated the problem of cable breakage on his Dorrance Hook. He used the prosthesis for more than 3 years without the nylon rope ever breaking, compared to annual replacement of the steel cable. Leather loops were riveted to the socket of the prosthesis, and short pieces of metal tubing placed in the loops act as smooth-sliding guides for the rope.
