Dorrance Hook

The Dorrance Hook is the most commonly used prosthetic hand by farmers/ranchers because of its versatility and durability. Special rubber bands hold the hook closed, and a cable wrapped around one’s shoulders pulls it open. (Note: Calf-castrating bands can be substituted for the rubber bands and are easily replaced using a calf-banding tool.)
