Feeding Trolley

To keep from getting bumped and shoved when bucket-feeding his hogs, Eddyville, IA, farmer Curt Jager uses a Feeding Trolley. The device is a hayfork track with two rolling trolleys mounted along the front length of his open-front hog shed. From the trolleys, Jager hung a 6-footlong, expanded-steel-mesh platform. The track extends 6 feet past one end of the shed so the platform can be lowered and loaded with buckets of feed. He then rides the trolley above the pens while rolling it the length of the shed feeding the animals.
