Tilt Table

The Tilt Table is used to completely invert a sheep. The device, shown here with optional wheel kit, has a platform with restraining bars in the front, a steel cradle that’s above the animal, and restraining bars in the rear that pivot up and down on the table. It’s usually placed at one end of a chute so a sheep can be easily herded into it. Once on the platform, the table is lowered onto the sheep’s back, and the rear restraining bars are pivoted down and around its back to secure its rear legs and rump. The frame is then pivoted, swinging the sheep’s head over top and the rump underneath until it is lying flat on its back with legs held by the front and rear restraint bars.
