Revolving Wading Pool Raised Bed

Sylvia Mitchell, left-side stroke survivor and wheelchair user, came up with this unique way to continue gardening. It’s a soil-filled, sturdy child’s wading pool on top of an equally-sturdy, custom-made Lazy Susan, which allows her to tend her vegetables, flowers, etc., while remaining in one spot. Making her rotating raised garden bed involved the following: (1) A triangular wooden frame resting on three 4×4 post legs positioned on concrete pads. (2) On top of the triangular base is mounted a 12-inch, ball-bearing Lazy Susan. (3) Lastly, on top of it is affixed two glued-together sheets of 5/8-inch plywood jig-sawed to be the same circumference as the wading pool.
