Fence Wire Unroller
A Fence Wire Unroller helps workers with impairments to spool out fence without walking, carrying spools, or unwrapping wire. As one’s vehicle (e.g., tractor, ATV, UTV, or pickup) moves slowly along the fence line, the unroller is spooling out the wire (smooth or barbed) onto the ground, ready to then be stapled, nailed, or twist-wired to the posts. Most unroller makes/models are simply single- or multiple-spool-holding frames that attach the vehicle’s receiver hitch; others, however, are three-point hitch-mounted, positioned in truck bed like a spinning jenny, or are quick-attach compatible. Among some of the features are: wire-tension cleats for stretching, brake pads to prevent over-running, rebar/T-post straightener, and backlash-prevention device.
