Portable Electric Fence Netting System
A Portable Electric Fence Netting System is a lightweight, electric woven fence that does not require the heavy labor of pounding posts, stringing wire and installing insulators. Used primarily as a temporary boundary for apiary bee yards, pastured sheep, goats, hogs, and poultry, the fence comes as a large roll of the netting with spiked or foot-pressed line posts already affixed to it every given number of feet. (Per-roll length of the netting can vary from 100 to 164 feet and its height from 30 to 45 inches, depending primarily on the type of livestock to be contained.) The netting consists of vertical plastic strands fixed to electrifiable horizontal strands, one of which being connected to a battery- or solar-powered energizer (charger) unit. When the livestock touches the electrified netting, the animal experiences a jolt to discourage future contact. A complete kit includes a roll of electric netting with built-in line posts, the energizer unit, a ground, and a fence tester.
